| | Steve | MS Carpets | 0208 641 3340 | | Steve Farrow | Regeneration Projects Mgr | 0208 770 4121 | | | | | | Item | Discussion | Action | | 1New C.S.O introduction. | A New C.S.O has arrived to complement the existing team. Alan has a strong retail background so has a firm understanding of what affects business and how he can make a positive impact. | No action req. | | 2. Chewing Gum | DC has contacted the council with a view to remove the gum on our pavements. Sutton council has requested quotations on the cost of removal. A decision on if and when will be made once the quotations have been received. | DC to update at next meeting. | | 3. Hanging Baskets | Igor has collected money from approximately half the traders in Rosehill. The baskets from the traders who have paid, will be in place by the end of February. | Igor to project manage | | 4. General waste compactor | There may be an opportunity to look at using a new council initiative to our advantage. There is a possibility that traders can reduce the cost of disposal of recyclable waste whilst increasing their green credentials. Amanda Cherrington is going to look into the compactor/green waste initiative | TP to update on progress. | | 5. Abbey Signage | There has been a minor repair attempt at improving the signage at the Abbey. Unfortunately there has been another robbery attempt which has resulted in the Abbey opting to pull out early of their lease. We cannot expect much more to be done until the new tenant is in place. | No action req. | | 6. Disposal of domestic Waste | It has been agreed that the council officers responsible for dealing with council waste should look into this issue. | TP to update on progress | | 7. Bollards in front of wedding shop | Traders parking on the pavement are a contravention of the highway laws as they have to cross the pavement to get to their private property. The council will try enforcement before introducing bollards on the basis of costs. If enforcement can not be achieved then bollards will be implemented. Progress should be reported to the next meeting. | DC to update | | 8. New Parking Spaces | There are 14 new parking space proposed in Rosehill. These have gone to committee stage and we expect a final decision by our next RTA meeting. | DC to update | | 9.Shop front subsidy | We are awaiting clearer details on this initiative to smarten Roshill up. Up until now information regarding the new shop front subsidy scheme has been sketchy at best.David Theobald will liaise with Steve Farrow and present at the next meeting findings such as funding ect. | DT | | A.O.B | 1. Welcome to Rosehill Signs. DC has provided the RTA with a book consisting of a selection of road signs. Once a shortlist has been drawn up a final selection will be put forward | Igor to manage | | AOB | 2. Community day/event day. Proposals to generate more positive interest into the area. Maybe starting with one day leading to more if successful. | DT to explore withSteve Farrow | | | | | Next meeting Thursday 20th March 2008, same time & place. All Rosehill traders are invited to attend the meeting or to forward their requests, comments and suggestions to me at Hair Location |
